2025-06-12Remove sshfs sharing backend from boxed buildGravatar Jiri Konecny
The sshfs sharing backend doesn't work in containers where the default one works just fine. To make the --isolated builds more accessible just use the default. The default in kiwi is currently: --9p-sharing
2025-04-07kiwi-build: indent conditional bodyGravatar Philip Molloy
2025-03-20kiwi-build: Fix handling of kiwibuild_extra_args when undefinedGravatar Neal Gompa
When the kiwibuild_extra_args variable is not defined, we do not want it to fail with "unbound variable" error. Fixes: efc71e6d8629f0e3b5bd2541650266d632a2fe68
2025-03-19kiwi-build: Pass on arguments after "--" to kiwiGravatar Neal Gompa
This simplifies supporting one-off custom actions without having to define options in the helper script all the time.
2024-11-16kiwi-build: Update to mimic production builds more closelyGravatar Neal Gompa
Production builds in Fedora have a couple extra features: * ISOs have custom overrides to set the correct volume/app IDs * Image filenames are structured to follow roughly NVRA format Now we support these features with extra helper scripts. If a "image release" value is passed in, then we fully mimic the production image build process. This will be particularly useful for making respins of Fedora images with updates applied.
2024-08-09kiwi-build, tmt: Require setting the kiwi filename for the buildGravatar Neal Gompa
In preparation for having multiple top-level kiwi description files, expose the ability to define which file to read. Additionally, tests are updated to use this new flag.
2024-05-31Allow isolated build via kiwi's boxbuildGravatar Marcus Schäfer
The kiwi boxbuild plugin allows to build the image as normal user inside of a KVM box. The boxes are provided by the plugin and fetched once or on update. This is useful to decouple the build from host operating system requirements. The calling user must have permissions to run KVM instances. Also see: https://osinside.github.io/kiwi/plugins/self_contained.html for setting up the sshfs sharing backend
2023-12-19kiwi-build: Add support for setting the kiwi description directoryGravatar Neal Gompa
Generally, the kiwi descriptions are in the same directory, but when this script is being called out-of-tree, it needs to be told where they are.
